Almost every professional business takes the time to draft a mission and vision statement. These documents typically define the company’s objectives and how they approach their work. The core values of the organisation may be included to instruct members how they should conduct themselves.
Naturally, the Creative Axis Architects has its own Mission & Vision statement. These are two succinct sentences which simply state; our desire to be leaders in the field of architecture and, our determination to provide value to our clients by exceeding their expectations.
Our core values are numerous, but broken down into the following categories:
- Transformation: Our aim is to find new and better ways of contributing to our clients, the community and the profession of architecture.
- Honesty, integrity and respect: These are the principles that guide us in our interactions with clients, and each other.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Working as a team helps us find new solutions to challenges.
- Excellence: We strive to deliver the highest quality in everything we do.
- Client Approach: We are always accountable to our clients. We take the time to listen to them, respond to them and deliver what they want.
- Our People: We seek to reward and promote our staff by investing in them, appreciating them and valuing their contribution.

Proving our commitment
You’re probably not aware that the Creative Axis Architects arranges a conference every two years. It’s a chance for members (new and old) from each of our regional offices to meet with each other, and all the Directors. Family members are invited to join the occasion as they sacrifice time with their loved one’s when there are deadlines to be met.
At the conference that took place this year on 7 April 2017, the Mission & Vision and Core Values were presented to the Board. But instead of merely discussing the statement, each member signed the document, as a pledge to uphold the contents of the document. Here is the proof:

It’s a small gesture, but one that you may consider significant if you want to do business with a truly professional architectural firm. A firm that is as committed to their core values as they are to their work.
